

The simulation files dirctory contains the major simulation setups.Since we had run simulations under different operating conditions (combinations of temperature,supply voltage,number of stages,different transistor on and different header and footer sizing,it is not possible to give all the combinations.So wh have just included the basic files over which optimizations were done.

final circuit : This was the base circuit having 11 stages of ring oscillators.It included the ocean scripts (even though we had used ADE environment only).

final circuit (17 stages): As the title suggests,this has 17 stages of ring oscillators.The sizing of the header and footer have been varied over the length of the simulations.

Final circuit (23 stages) : The only change is in the number of stages again.

frequency deviation for Vt shift : This is the setup that we had used for manually shifting the Vt and plotting the correspoding shift in the frequency deviation.Since the statistical file was completely random,we cannot have any idea how much Vt variation has taken place.Hence we inserted a voltage supply at the gate of each mosfet and applied +ve or -neg bias on it to emulate the behavior of thethreshold voltage shift.The corresponding change in frequency has been measured.

monte carlo variation: We had used ADE-XL to run the variation analysis and ran for many process runs.However we have included the details of one of the run only.As can be seen from the ocean script,both the process variation and mismatch has been taken into account for the monte carlo variation analysis.

NBTI Detection circuit: The silicon odometer has been rebuilt using this base circuit along with the beat frquency detector.The phase difference between the age degraded circuit and normal circuit has been measured using this setup and the resolution has been further enhanced by the beat frequency detector.

Temperature variation: If the base circuit was to be used as a thermal sensor,the knobs needed to be adjusted as discussed in the papers.In addition to that,we had run numerous iterations at different temperatures to see the impact of thermal variation on the circuit functionality.
